Hadassah-Wizo is a worldwide, non-political women's volunteer Zionist organization. In both Israel and Canada, Hadassah raises money to support Education, career training and Health Care, as well as women, child, and youth services. Hadassah-Wizo was founded in Canada in 1917; the Regina Chapter was organized in 1921, with Saskatoon following in 1923. Historically there have also been chapters in Melfort, Melville, Moose Jaw, and Yorkton. Regina and Saskatoon are the only chapters still active, with approximately 35 members in the former and 40 in the latter.
